Stranded. On the empty stretch of asphalt known as the Lonely Mile Benjamin Brams is out of options. His car is dead his phone is useless and the only company he has is the oppressive darkness. When a single light flickers in the distance it feels like salvation—a sign of rescue a promise of safety. But along this deserted highway some things are better left in the dark. Hope curdles into primal fear as Benjamin discovers the truth. The light isn't a beacon of rescue. It's a lure. And the creature carrying it has been waiting patiently in the shadows.
